Best AI Visibility Tools for Ecommerce Brands (2026): Compared for Product Catalogs
Eight trackers and free reports, judged on what a product catalog needs, with pricing as published in October 2026.
The short answer
AI visibility tools run a fixed set of shopper prompts on assistants such as ChatGPT or Google AI Mode every day and log whether your brand and products show up, who appears next to you and which sources get cited. For ecommerce, the best ones also track product-level shopping results. They measure your presence in answers. They don't fix the product data behind it.
How to choose an AI visibility tool for ecommerce
Pick AI visibility tools by what you need to see. For a catalog, product-level shopping data and the engines your buyers actually use matter more than a long engine list or a big prompt allowance.
Every tracker here runs a fixed prompt list daily and logs mentions and citations. That's useful, and noisy.
growth in AI traffic to US retail sites in Q1 2026 vs Q1 2025
The channel is now big enough to measure properlySource: Adobe via Decryptbetter conversion for AI traffic than non-AI traffic in March 2026, after converting 38% worse a year earlier
AI visitors arrive closer to purchaseSource: Adobe via Decryptchance of getting the same brand list twice from ChatGPT, Claude or Google's AI for an identical prompt
Rankings from a single run mean very littleSource: SparkToro and Gumshoe via Search Engine LandThat last number should shape how you buy. In the same study, mention rate held up far better than position, with some brands appearing in 60% to 90% of answers for an intent (Search Engine Land). So ignore any demo built around "you rank #2 in ChatGPT" and watch mention rate over several weeks.
Six criteria that matter for a catalog
- Shopping results at SKU level
Text mentions miss product carousels. Check the tool records which products appear, at what price, through which merchant.
- Engines your buyers use
Start from the AI sources sending you revenue in GA4. A 13-engine list demos well, but you'll only read two of them.
- Countries and languages
Selling in Italy and the Netherlands means prompts in Italian and Dutch. Some vendors charge per country.
- Pricing unit
Plans scale by prompts, credits or checks. Forty categories in four markets means hundreds of prompts.
- Exports and API
You'll want visibility next to GA4 revenue: CSV, Looker Studio or an API.
- A path to action
Tips range from generic to page audits. In ecommerce the fix usually lands in product data.
Most buying guides rank these tools by engine count. We'd weight that last and start from the question in the AI visibility guide: which products are you missing from?

This table comes from each vendor's own product, help and pricing pages, linked below. It isn't a hands-on benchmark, and engine lists change almost monthly.
Only Profound and Peec AI document product-level shopping tracking today, and both center it on ChatGPT.
Dedicated platforms: Profound, Peec AI, Scrunch and AthenaHQ
These four exist only for AI visibility. Of the four, Profound and Peec AI are the ones with SKU-level shopping features.
Profound
Best for: enterprise brands with real ChatGPT Shopping exposure and an enterprise budget.
Profound's Shopping analysis tracks a Shopping Mode Rate (the share of prompts that trigger a product carousel) and a Shopping Visibility Score, plus which products appear and how the AI describes their attributes (Profound Help Center). Agent Analytics shows how bots view, cite and refer to your pages (Profound).
If you also sell through retailers, look at the merchant layer first. It shows which retailers fill the product tiles and how many of their picks are yours, so you learn whether ChatGPT sends buyers to you or to a reseller.
Limits: shopping covers ChatGPT, with Perplexity and Gemini in progress. ChatGPT Shopping is Enterprise only, and trial prompts can't be edited. Pricing: free trial with 50 prompts run daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews; Enterprise is custom (Profound pricing).
Peec AI
Best for: mid-market brands wanting self-serve, product-level ChatGPT data across several markets.
Peec AI launched AI Shopping Analytics on June 17, 2026. Per product it reports visibility, win rate (how often it's the first pick), position, the price the AI quotes against your catalog price, and where it sends buyers (Peec AI). Catalogs import from Shopify, CSV or a Merchant Center feed.
The quoted-price check is underrated. When an assistant quotes €89 for a jacket you sell at €119, look for an expired sale_price still in the feed or a reseller listing. Both are fixable this week.
Pricing scales by prompts; extra countries and languages cost nothing. Starter has 50 prompts on 3 models, Pro 150, Advanced 350, Enterprise up to 13 models (Peec AI pricing). The page showed no amounts when we checked, so confirm with the vendor. Limits: shopping is ChatGPT only, and self-serve caps you at 3 models.
A SKU-level tracker records that the Aria came first at €139. It won't tell the Fjellmark team they lost because their page never states a waterproof rating. That's a product data gap, and no tracker closes it.
Scrunch
Best for: brands that also want a cleaner site version for AI agents.
Scrunch adds page audits, personas and agent traffic monitoring. Its Agent Experience Platform (AXP) generates an AI-friendly version of your site. No SKU-level shopping feature is listed. Pricing: Starter $250 per month billed annually or $300 month to month (350 custom prompts, 3 users), Growth $417 or $500 (700 prompts), and a 7-day free trial (Scrunch pricing).
AthenaHQ
Best for: small teams that want to start free.
The free tier has 300 credits on 5 engines. Starter is $295 per month for 3,600 credits on 11 models, one credit per AI response, with a Shopify integration (AthenaHQ pricing). Spread across all 11 engines, that's about 11 responses per engine per day.
SEO suites and budget trackers: Semrush, Ahrefs Brand Radar and Otterly.AI
If you already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs, their AI modules are the cheapest start. Otterly.AI has the lowest entry price here.
Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
Best for: teams already living in Semrush.
$99 per month buys 25 prompts with no free trial; 50 more cost $60 (Semrush Knowledge Base). It tracks Google AI Mode and ChatGPT in 220+ countries. The AI Search Site Audit flags anything blocking AI crawlers. Run it once even if you buy nothing else, and before your team spends time on an llms.txt file for your store.
Limits: 25 prompts is thin for a catalog, and Semrush documents no product-level shopping tracking.
Ahrefs Brand Radar
Best for: category-level share of voice without the work of writing prompts.
Brand Radar runs on an index of 470M+ prompts and reports mentions, citations, AI share of voice and estimated impressions. Custom Prompts start at €47 per month (5 prompts on Lite); the AI Visibility Index starts at €179 (Ahrefs). AI Sources shows which YouTube or Reddit content feeds the answers.
As a starting point, a prebuilt index beats a hand-written prompt list, because your own list tends to reflect how your team talks. The limit: it measures brands, never SKUs.
Otterly.AI
Best for: small stores testing the waters.
Lite costs $29 per month for 15 prompts, Standard $189 for 100, Premium $489 for 400 (Otterly.AI pricing). Plans include ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot; AI Mode and Gemini are paid add-ons.
If your shoppers start on Google, budget for the AI Mode add-on from day one.
Free AI visibility reports to set up before you pay
Google and Shopify give you AI reports at no cost, and GA4 can isolate AI traffic. They're tied to your own revenue, so set them up first.
| Report | What it shows | Surfaces | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Merchant Center AI performance insights | Share of voice, product terms, attribute completeness | AI Mode, AI Overviews, Gemini app | Rolling out in US, CA, AU, IN, NZ |
| GA4 custom channel group | Sessions and revenue from AI assistants | Any AI referrer you match | Misses visits that arrive without a referrer |
| Shopify Agentic Storefronts | Results by AI channel, queries, data tips | ChatGPT, Shop, Copilot via Shopify Catalog | Shopify stores; connected channels only |
Merchant Center's report is the closest thing to a free readiness check: its attribute insights score which products lack the specs shoppers look for, such as color or material (Google Merchant Center Help). Shopify's Agentic Storefronts page, live since May 11, 2026, shows the queries your products appear for and suggests data fixes (Shopify changelog).
For GA4, add an "AI assistants" channel with a source regex such as chatgpt|openai|perplexity|gemini|copilot|claude. Standard properties get 2 custom groups, and they apply retroactively (Google Analytics Help). Traffic goes to the first channel it matches, so drag your AI channel above Referral. It's the step we see skipped most often, and AI visits keep landing in Referral.
Whatever the sales pitch says, run these reports for a month before signing any tracking contract. They show whether AI traffic in your market justifies the spend. Full setup is in the guide to measuring AI visibility and the Google Merchant Center guide.
Where a readiness tool fits next to your AI visibility tool
A tracker shows where you're missing. It can't show which product fields caused it. AndromedAI sits next to it as the readiness and fix layer.
Product data now drives a large share of AI shopping answers. Profound's data, as reported by Relevant Audience, shows the share of ChatGPT Shopping picks drawn from integrated feeds jumping from 8.26% to 61.54% on July 10, 2026, and about 65% by September 3. In the same days, 450 of 687 tracked customers lost at least a third of their Shopping visibility (Relevant Audience). A tracker shows that drop. The repair happens in feeds and product pages: product feed optimization and Agentic Commerce Optimization.
Visibility tools measure the symptom; readiness measures the cause, per SKU. AndromedAI's AI Readiness Audit scores products on four dimensions: Product Data Completeness, Keyword Coverage, Customer Intent Match and Shopping Metadata. The Optimizer rewrites titles, descriptions, bullets and FAQ, extracts attributes and adds use cases.
- 1
Find the losing intents
Your tracker shows where competitors appear and you don't.
- 2
Score those SKUs
The AI Readiness Audit shows which products lack what the answer needed.
- 3
Fix the fields
Optimizer rewrites in your Brand Kit voice; pages above an AI Checker score of 4.0 auto-approve.
- 4
Publish
Push to Shopify, Merchant Center, Adobe Commerce, Akeneo or another of the integrations.
- 5
Re-measure
After a few weeks, check mention rate and GA4 AI revenue.

Most ecommerce brands need the free reports, at most one paid tracker and a way to fix flagged SKUs.
| Your situation | Start with | Add when you need it |
|---|---|---|
| Small Shopify store, no AI budget yet | Shopify and GA4 reports, AthenaHQ free tier | Otterly.AI Lite to test paid tracking |
| Already paying for Semrush | Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit | Peec AI for product-level ChatGPT data |
| Already paying for Ahrefs | Brand Radar AI Visibility Index | Custom prompts for your top categories |
| Mid-market brand selling in several EU countries | Peec AI | Merchant Center insights where available |

For any trial, build the prompt set around 20 to 30 intents you already sell well on, in each market's language, and freeze it. Changing prompts mid-trial resets your baseline.
To compare engines, read how ChatGPT picks products and Google AI Mode shopping. Metrics and a dashboard template are in the AI visibility guide linked above.
FAQ
AI visibility tools run a fixed set of prompts on assistants such as ChatGPT or Google AI Mode every day. They record whether your brand and products appear, which competitors appear next to you and which sources get cited. They report mention rate and share of voice over time, but they don't change the product data that drives those answers.
Profound and Peec AI are the two that document SKU-level shopping tracking, and both focus on ChatGPT. If you already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs, start with their AI modules before buying another tool. Small stores can begin with the free reports in Google Merchant Center, GA4 and Shopify.
Yes. Merchant Center AI performance insights, a GA4 custom channel group for AI assistants and Shopify's Agentic Storefronts page cost nothing and connect to your own revenue. AthenaHQ also has a free tier with 300 credits on 5 engines, and Profound offers a 7-day free trial.
As published in October 2026, Otterly.AI starts at 29 dollars a month, Ahrefs Brand Radar custom prompts at 47 euros, the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit at 99 dollars and Scrunch at 250 dollars billed annually. Profound Enterprise is priced on request, and Peec AI does not show amounts on its pricing page.
Start with 20 to 30 intents per market, built from categories you already sell well and written in each market's language. Different wordings of one intent return similar brand sets, so extra phrasings add cost without adding signal. Freeze the set during a trial, because changing prompts resets your baseline.
No. AndromedAI is an Agentic Commerce Optimization (ACO) platform. It scores product pages with a per-SKU AI Readiness Score, rewrites and enriches them, and publishes the changes to your store and feeds. It doesn't run prompts or chart share of voice, so a visibility tracker is what measures the results.
